There are many technical problems associated with the trash compactor that can be easily fixed, but others that require a factory trained technician. If you unit is not working, the first thing we want to make sure is that the door is completely closed and the compactor is plugged in securely. Check for any blown fuses and definitely check for outlet voltage.
If the unit starts but does not complete the cycle, check to see if an object in the trash compactor is loose and causing the door to trigger tilt switch.
